California Parents Sue Hospital & Win $750,000
Another medical malpractice victory for patients. Dennis and Kimberly Quaid sued and won a three-quarters of a million settlement against Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angelos. According to Austin's Injury Board, LA's Cedars-Sinai hospital allegedly administered too much heparin, a blood thinner, to the Quaid's twin babies in 2007. The parents sued the hospital for medical malpractice and won their case in Los Angelos' Superior Court. This proves a critical point for patients. Although doctors and medical professionals often do their best, professionals sometimes make dangerous, even fatal mistakes, resulting in personal injuries, medical malpractice suits, and wrongful death.
